Communicating with your loved ones in prison is so important yet can sometimes be difficult. Email a Prisoner is a service that makes that process quick and easy and costs less than a first class stamp!

It is free to sign up and only takes a few seconds. All you need is an email address and access to the internet. If you don't have an email address we can help you to get one. Just visit out contact page on www.emailaprisoner.com and we will walk you through the steps involved.

Once you are registered with our service (registration is FREE) you can email any prisoner in a UK prison provided you have their prison number.

Your message will arrive at the prison almost instantly meaning the prison staff can process your message, print it out and put it in an envelope for privacy on the wing and deliver it soon after.

Please note - prisoners do not have direct access to email and we are NOT developing our service in that direction. Furthermore, Email a Prisoner does not have any formal agreement in place with NOMS although we are discussing our service with policy leads.
