Here you will find a selection of comments about HMP Lowdham Grange from a prisoner's view point.

The following comments are my views of life here in Lowdham Grange during my 4 year stay:

"Firstly, the staff I have met have always been polite and helpful at all times, especially when I have required assistance.

"Having served time in over 20 different prisons, Lowdham Grange is one of the better institutions in the country; the management fulfil their duties to the best of their abilities.

"I am serving a 20 year sentence and I was given the opportunity to complete all of my sentence planning targets within a two year period."

"Lowdham Grange treats you on the whole respectfully, fairly and has many good things to offer and is a very clean and a safe and friendly environment.

"In my own view the quality and high standards of facilities including: visits, food, mail, phones, facilities for family contacts (Dads Day Visits etc) significantly reduces the amount of stress usually encountered by many prisoners in other prisons.

"I feel I am treated a lot more humane here than any other prison I have been in and I have been able to make better constructive use of my time here to help address my offending".
