Family Benefits

We all love to hear a good story but there is more to Story Time Dads than just a good yarn.

The benefits to the family outside are substantial. Through connecting with Dad in such a personal and powerful way children are able to further develop their bond, understanding that Dad cares about them and would like to be with them.

This contact also allows families to see how the prison works to help its inmates. In this way we can educate not just one but two generations as to the true nature of prison. The very real connection between those inside and those outside helps to impart the positive message that the prison is working to help "Dad" get out and prevent him re-offending again.

This is all working towards achieving targets set down by the National Offender Management Service (NOMS).
