Visits

Booking Information

Prisoners wanting to book a visit in the week (Monday - Friday) must apply on a green booking form to the visits department. The Visits department will only accept bookings made by the booking forms and will confirm the visit is booked by returning the acknowledgement slip on the same day of processing.

Legal visits

For legal visits it is required that you fax requesting a legal visit, the number for the fax line is 0115 9669 220.

Prisoners that require special visits or personal arrangements to conduct legal proceedings will need to apply to the governor.

Domestic visits

Weekend visits will be booked by the prisoner or visitor either by telephone on 0115 9669 321 or by the blue booking forms.

Monday to Friday Visits - Green booking form only.
Weekend Visits - Blue booking form or telephone booking.

The visits booking line will be open from 08.30 to 12.00 then 13.00 to 16.00.

Visits will be pre-booked, either by the visits booking forms on the wings, or the visits booking line.

Core day visits will be booked by session and prisoners will need to be ready for collection. i.e. Prisoners will need to be in visits ready for the start of their visit session.

Visiting times

Domestic
Monday to Friday - 13:30 to 16:30
Visitors arriving after 15:00 will not be allowed into the establishment.

Saturdays and Sundays
Session One 10:00 - 12:00 (Cut off is 11:30)
Session Two 13:00 - 17:00

Any visit scheduled for session one will not carry over into session two regardless if the visit did not have its full time allocation.
