Zero Tolerance

Introduction

HMP Lowham Grange maintains a Zero Tolerance to smuggling within our prison. Smuggling drugs into a prison has wide effecting results from intimidation both inside and outside the prison, violence towards staff and other prisoners and bullying within the system.

Our Zero Tolerance campaign, consisting of leaflets, posters and signage, conveys a strong message to dissuade potential offenders and ensure that everyone knows the consequences of attempted smuggling.

At Lowdham Grange we have a series of security measures in place for visiting family and friends starting with a pat-down and search, followed by x-ray of belongings, a stop by the drugs dog and finally the Boss Chair to detect body cavity smuggling. Don't do it.
